People With Dogs

Ongoing portrait series of people with dogs. I’ve been stopping people with dogs and asking them if I could take their portrait. These are a moment of each of these interactions, or at least the ones that were willing. Photos captured on a medium format Mamiya RZ67.

Isolation Dogs

In 2020 the world changed, and so did some of our relationships with our dogs. They became closer than they’d ever been, and for some who live alone, they became our only friend we could have physical contact with. These photos were captured around Vancouver between April and May 2020.

Catalyst Dogs

Catalyst Dogs, as close to my heart as it gets, is a project that explores the impact that dogs have on us. In case studies, I met and photographed some amazing individuals who's lives wouldn't be the same if it weren't for their dog. I shot the project on digital, 35mm and medium format film, the videos were shot by Zach and edited by myself. Music by Spencer Jose.

This project was supported by Healthy Paws, who have been studying and linking the science behind the physical and emotional effects pets have on our lives.

Dogs & Vans

Adventures with strangers who possess both a dog (or dogs) and a van. Shot on 35mm and 120 film.

Agapornis Magazine

We shot this series for issue IV of Agapornis Magazine, where companion animals & contemporary culture meet. This issue featured previously unreleased works by William Wegman and others including Jeremy Barniaud, Lou Bailly, Aurelie Garnier, Cait Bourgault, Silvia Conde and so many more.

Kauai Dogs

Visited the island of Kauai with Zach Rose and found mostly dogs.

We found an abandoned hunting dog, visited the Kauai Humane Society, brought a dog with us on some hikes, photographed a few other dogs and cats at the Humane Society, found three dogs in a cage under a dead wild boar in the back of a red truck, met a guy named TJ, dodged chickens, smelled flowers, hiked for hours, drove down most of the roads and pet most of the dogs.

Shot on 120 film with a Mamiya 645.

Momo's Face

A study of both change and uniformity. Momo's intense border collie gaze sneaks its way through the camera and into our hearts. An ongoing project I've been shooting since February 11, 2016.

Tanzania

In 2013, Boma Africa, a non-profit tour company based in Arusha, brought me to explore the sights of Tanzania. We climbed Kilimanjaro, met the Maasai tribespeople, and drove alongside wild animals in the Serengeti and other parks.

We Live Up Here

Murals, books, and events, We Live Up Here breathes life through art into my hometown Sudbury's downtown core. I played a role in starting it up, designing & painting murals, branding & marketing, and directing things along the way.
